Coriole, situated in McLaren Vale due south of Adelaide, is a grower of high regard. Famous for introducing a number of European varietals to its estate vineyards over the course of the past 40 years, Coriole’s principal white variety, Chenin Blanc was planted back in 1977. The nose is lively and attractive, displaying white peach, lychee and honeydew melon. The palate offers a generous platter of tropical and citrus flavours, finishing with fresh and bright acidity. A wine to enjoy now but it will also reward long term cellaring. Best served with light meals; salads, chicken and seafood.
