The Groote Post Kapokberg Pinot Noir shows ripe, red fruit upfront on the nose with early morning farmyard blossoms. The palate is full and voluptuous with beautiful cherry notes and silky tannins that support the structure on the finish. Kapokberg translated as “snowy mountain” – in days gone by, this hill, covered in white Spring flowers, resembled a snow capped mountain. At 459m above sea level, it is the highest hill at Groote Post and bears the name of their vineyard selection wines.
