Description
This limited release of Bremerton’s Old Adam Shiraz is a result of fastidious vineyard, batch and barrel selection. The Old Adam is a combination of parcels of wine from the best blocks of shiraz from Bremerton’s vineyards. These vineyards are influenced by the temperate micro climate of warm days, cool evenings and dry conditions which prevail in Langhorne Creek during the ripening season.
The 2019 is an excellent example of premium Langhorne Creek shiraz, showing intensity of rich fruit flavours and elegant integrated oak, providing a delicious well structured complex wine. Every vintage, each parcel of shiraz is assessed and the most outstanding are nurtured and then blended to create the Old Adam. This maintains the quality, distinction and reputation of this fine wine.
The concentrated, high quality parcels of fruit were fermented in open vats and then matured for 22 months in new and seasoned specifically selected, extra fine grain American and French Oak. Additional 12 months maturation in bottle allows full integration of oak and fruit tannin.
Perpetually one of Australia’s most awarded Shiraz, it is a testament to winemaker Becs Willson, and her relentless pursuit of perfection. Outstanding.
