Grown on the slopes of Paarl Mountain, Fairview Viognier is a bright, medium gold colour with aromas of tangerines, peach, sweet honeysuckle and subtle oak notes. Enjoy the complex palate with layers of apricots and citrus, balanced by creamy oak texture and lengthy fresh finish.
One of the (many) gifts that Charles Back has brought to Cape wine was, and still is, Fairview Viognier. Planting the mother block of this French grape in 1994, Charles and team have nurtured this variety to bring you a gorgeously aromatic and refined wine. A must try!
FOOD RECOMMENDATION: Viognier is very flexible, working in a wide variety of seafood, roasted or grilled chicken, pork, spicy flavours and Asian cuisine. A Malay curry with delicate spice and dried fruits is particularly delicious when paired with Viognier.
