Walter’s Reserve Cabernet 2016, Bremerton

The 2016 Bremerton Walter’s Reserve Cabernet is a powerful yet elegant wine, showing gorgeous varietal notes of blackberry, bramble and earth, complemented by subtle influences of chocolate and savoury nuances.  The wine is supported by a fine, defining, elegant tannin structure and shows spice and complexity from the careful use of new French oak.  This wine is very secretive as it takes its time to reveal itself, a powerful wine that will not only evolve in the glass but will reward you with patience in the cellar.

Hand selected from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, this pure varietal spends 22 months in oak before bottling. Held back by Bremerton for an additional 2 years prior to release; no expense is spared. Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wines from Langhorne Creek are gaining more notoriety in the wine world – the sheer density and depth in the glass are of exceptional calibre and this Walter’s certainly ranks amongst the greatest Cabernets the New World has to offer.

Ageing potential: Will evolve and open up with cellaring 6-10+ years.

Food pairing: Matches well with red meat, game dishes or even a delicious cheese plate.

Alcohol: 14.5% ABV
