Description

JJ Hahn Western Ridge 1975 Planting Shiraz 2018 is aged for 22 months in a mixture of American (65%) and French oak (35%) barrels, then blended to create a full bodied, yet juicy vibrant style. Certainly a style of wine that has made the Barossa region famous worldwide.  The nose contains lifted aromas of vanilla, mocha, dark chocolate and liquorice.  The full-bodied palate is rich with flavours of red berry fruits and plums, with hints of chocolate, mocha, liquorice and vanilla. A refreshing acidity and velvety smooth tannins. Good depth with a long finish. It is complex and intense without being overbearing.

Ageing potential: Drinking well now and can also be aged and enjoyed over 10 years.

Alcohol: 14.5% ABV
