Lemberg
Created in 1978 by Janey Muller, in the heart of the scenic Tulbagh Valley surrounded by the Witzenberg and Winterhoek mountains, Lemberg was originally made famous for being the smallest wine estate in the Western Cape. Today Lemberg has certainly grown in stature, with its pristine white and red wines garnering followers far and wide. Rare varieties like the Hungarian white Hárslevelü, which represents the mother-block in South Africa, forms the backbone of their white blend ‘The Lady’ as well as being released as a unique pure varietal. A stunning expression of Pinotage known as ‘Spencer’ also sits confidently within the portfolio. A thoughtful, open-minded and progressive embrace of their terroir has allowed Lemberg to produce some of South Africa’s most unique and exciting wines. These should not be missed!
