Kaapzicht’s 2023 Chenin Blanc displays ripe quince, pineapple and stone fruit with some interesting savoury undertones. A lightly textured palate, with a hint of sweetness and balancing crunchy acid, results in a brisk finish. A delightful, delicate and refreshing old bush vine Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc with some of the grapes coming from a vineyard planted in 1947 (the second oldest Chenin Blanc in the country).
Ageing potential: 2 – 4 years
Food pairing: A juicy poolside sipper or fantastic partner to al fresco meals, this wine offers outstanding value for money.
Alcohol:13.29% ABV

string(526) "Vouvray, Savennières and Montlouis are villages in France famous for their superb expressions of Chenin Blanc. Add to this list Stellenbosch in South Africa and the picture is complete. A waxy, citrus and cream styled white variety with stunning acidity and natural balance, it can produce deeply-flavoured wines from dry through to botrytis-affected sweet styles. It is a natural in every sense and in the hands of the greatest growers in South Africa shows the shimmering potential of the Rainbow Nation on the world stage."
