Description
Strawberry and raspberry notes with a delicate acidity and rose-gold hue. Blended from 65% Shiraz, 25% Grenache and 10% Mouvedre. The perfect summer wine for al fresco lunches, braais and picnics.
ORIGIN
The grapes are grown on Hutton soils, which are north- and north-west- facing, catching the afternoon sunshine. This makes the slopes slightly warmer than the rest of the farm.
VINIFICATION
Partially whole-bunch pressed and destemmed. Only 400l/ ton was taken to assist with the beautiful blush colour. Each varietal was fermented separately in stainless steel tanks using a variety of yeasts. A long-extended lees contact, with regular stirring (about 6 months) and then filtered and bottled.
ABV 12.5%
