The 2021 Mollydooker Gigglepot Cabernet is vibrant yet elegant, with a nose full of juicy red berries and subtle hints of exotic spice. The palate takes you through an array of fruit flavours and mocha notes with a toasty, savoury aftertaste. Beautifully balanced, the Gigglepot’s delicate tannins show restraint allowing the fruit spectrum to shine. Just like its name, the Gigglepot brings joy in a glass.
The grapes were grown on the Rivers Lane vineyard in McLaren Vale. Barrel fermented and matured in 80% American and 20% French oak, using 50% new and 50% one year old barrels. The required Marquis Fruit Weight™ for the Family Series is 75% – 85%. The Actual Fruit Weight for 2021 Gigglepot is 76%.
Alcohol: 15.5% ABV

string(589) "One of the most ubiquitous grape varieties in the world; Cabernet Sauvignon. Together with Pinot Noir it vies for the crown of greatest red variety in the world. So multifaceted and so adaptable, it is as happy in the Pauillac vineyards of Château Latour as it is in the high altitude vineyards of the Andes. So suited to oak and with a firm tannic backbone, it is very often utilised as part of a blend. Though Bordeaux is its natural home, it has spread through the wine world, finding notable homes in Stellenbosch, Coonawarra, Langhorne Creek and the Barossa Valley to name but a few."
