Kanonkop’s iconic Black Label Pinotage is produced in limited quantity from 66 year old bush vines. The Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage 2019 is deep purple in colour, with rich and layered flavours of red and black cherries, dark plums, wild bramble fruit with subtle sweet spice and oak undertones. The seamlessly integrated oak and velvety tannins add firm support and structure to the sultry fruit core. The perfect balance of elegance and complexity – iron fist in a velvet glove!
Ageing potential: 15 – 20 years from vintage.
Food Pairing: Aromatic curries, barbequed venison and beef, grilled game fish such as tuna, roast duck with berry sauce and pork belly.
