Description
Kanonkop’s 10 year re-release of the 2013 Kanonkop Pinotage is a complex and fruity wine with red and black fruit flavours. With age showing hints of farmyard, earthy and forest floor characteristics.
Back in 2000 winemaker Johann Krige made the bold decision to hold back a number of vintages to show how well Pinotage would age. He has now been releasing limited bottles every 10 years. For comparison we also have the 2019 and 2020 vintages available to purchase.
Food Pairing: Red meat or spicy Asian style dishes when young. Better partnered with lamb and mutton when mature / with bottle age.
Alcohol: 14.7% ABV
