Kanonkop’s 10 year re-release of the 2016 Pinotage. The 2016 is a complex wine with layers of different aromas that evolve in the glass and offers more red fruit flavours in its youth, but after some age this wine will start to show some earthy forest floor characteristics.
Kanonkop’s Pinotage shows a bold intensity of black plum, red and black berries and a concentration of vanilla and aromatic sweet spice. The 2016 vintage offers good complexity with layered flavours that is balanced will continue to develop and integrate for years to come. In its youth a great accompaniment to red meat or spicy Asian style dishes whereas once matured more suited to partner with lamb or mutton.
