TAPI Pinot Gris 2023, named after the imperial Mt Tapuae-o- Uenuku or Tapi (tap-ee) as the locals call it, is a beacon that rises above the famous Marlborough wine region.
Tasting note: Bright aromas of citrus and juicy pear. On the palate flavours of fresh quince and crisp golden apple blend seamlessly with hints of spice. The bouquet is followed by a rich mouth-filling texture enhanced by an appetising acidity, dry with a mineral finish.
Vinification details: Machine picked and destemmed in the vineyard then gently pressed in the winery. 15% is barrel fermented in old French oak barriques and the remaining 85% in stainless steel tank. 100% is lees aged for 5 months.
