From 40 year old vines displaying a complex nose with tropical fruits and peach followed by flinty notes. The palate is rich and broad, reminiscent of the koffieklip soils, with well-balanced acidity from the first picking.
£12.60 per bottle
Displays lots of red berry fruit with notes of subtle pepper, cardamom and iron-like spice. This elegantly built wine benefits from a lightness which does not hinder its complexity. Fine tannins and good acidity will help this wine evolve well over the next few years in bottle.

The Amos Block is a unique bushvine vineyard of Sauvignon Blanc planted in 1965 and is the oldest existing block, or Mother Block, of the variety in South Africa. Only bottled in exceptional vintages and a feat for such a variety in the hot Swartland climate, this is the antithesis of Sauvignon Blanc.
